Mood: Cheerful
Hi! This is another Gintama quote. Well, I've felt a lot better today. The weather was nice and I found away to almost make my 'brain shivers' non- existent. Someone suggested an Omega 3 supplement, and I already had some, so I thought I should try it. It was so much better. When it did happen it wasn't as intense. Somehow I can tolerate it more. So, since I was in a good mood I got up early and finally got to do my normal routine again.
I read more of Naruto. I'm at the point in the manga where Konoha is being attacked, and the Hokage is battling with Orochimaru. I hate to say this but I love Orochimaru in both the anime and manga. He's kind of one of those characters that you love to hate, I guess. I love how Pakkun shows up, and Sakura immediately says how can a little dog help us? Pakkun's awesome though! His attitude is funny, he can track down enemies, he's smart, etc. He bit Shikamaru when he was playing possum. That was great! They're trying to find where Sasuke went. I love this part of the story for some reason.
I got to play my clarinet today too. That was really nice! The only problem was since my fingers aren't used to it anymore, I screwed up on some songs. My stupid pinkies wouldn't move right and I felt like they were going to break. Oh, well maybe tomorrow it will be easier.
I did more of my Japanese. I'm still looking up the kanji of the words I have down, and looking at verb forms. I finished going through the a's section that way. I've just started on i's again. They have too many forms! x_X
I also think it's odd that isha and sensei can both mean doctor. (Not sure if I posted about that before, but it's still weird.) I don't know why but the word for pond is interesting: ike.
In Nabari no Ou, I felt even more sorry for Yoite. He's really had a sucky life. The leader of the organization he's apart of basically used him. Yoite for some reason feels like he wants to erase his existence, but doesn't want to die. He kept saying when he was a little kid that everyone cursed his existence even his parents. Being accepted by Miharu has changed him somewhat, but he still thinks he should be erased. I can't believe they killed Raiko towards the end of the episode. I thought he was going the kill Hattori. Looks like Miharu's 'ability' will be awakened in the next episode. It's getting kind of interesting, although most of it has been.
In Gintama it was more of Toshi's group against Shinpachi's. It was funny they found a 'foreigner' on the marathon they were running on and used him as one of Shinpachi's teammates. He didn't know any of the answers in the quiz show about Otsu, but accidentally answered them correctly. It was great! All he wanted to do was go to the bathroom, but since the pop idol has kind of a 'potty mouth' it went with the answers.
I drew a little today too. Actually I ended up drawing for almost 2 hours! I thought I was going to do it for like an hour. I was trying to get the anatomy of my character right, but it was incredibly hard for some reason. This character is looking off somewhere, a different kind of pose than the usual easy straight on shot. Also I managed to draw the cat in my how to draw manga book pretty well. Last time I did it I screwed up on it's paws. So, it was a jumbled mess.
I'm a college student taking a break. I'm learning Japanese and hope to be certified in it soon. I love almost everything about Japan, that's why I made a website. Haven't updated in a looong time though. I know about 8 languages. I've been playing the clarinet for about 14 years. I'm hoping to make my own manga. I have so many ideas for it, I'm just itching to get passed the planning and deciding on characters phase. "
Ah. Good luck on the test. c:
I've been trying to learn on my own also, but last year, my French class was a huge barrier. I fortunately don't have to take that anymore though, so I can get back on track. :3
Cool! I took French in high school. I'm hoping to move there eventually and become a translator/ tutor/ or teacher. Still not sure yet, but at least I have a plan.
Yeah, I remember when I first got started with manga. I was pretty awful. In fact, I probably still have those ancient things up here, in my "Old Crap" folder. xD
I think it's been like, three years since I first started it, and I still have a lot of things to improve on.
Nope, your not. I used to hate drawing mainly because my mom's side of the family are all artists, and I thought it was kind of boring. I'm learning it's not.
My grandpa used to do art for ads. He came up with the "watch out it's slippery" type idea. He also was in military, where they told him to sketch people to see what normal life was like in China. Kind of interesting. My grandma does basically anything. Acrylics, watercolor, sketching, just everything. She's awesome. She helped with some of what foods looked like in ads for a while. My aunt makes jewelry, and paints some. My mom was majoring in art in college. She's pretty much like my grandma in what she does, although more with jewelry. She's like the only one isn't really using it for work, it's of a hobby. So, yeah a lot of artists.
Haha, that's awesome. =D
My family only has two artists -- my mom, who's a graphic artist; and my sister, who's like your mom and grandma, doing a lot of different types.
